Average salary dynamics in Uzbekistan in 2025
In Tashkent, the average salary exceeded 10.7 million soums. However, wages in the capital are growing more slowly than the national average.
The average nominal accrued salary in Uzbekistan in 2025 was 6.37 million soums, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Last year, salaries nationwide increased by 18.9%, and since 2021, they have almost doubled, or by 3.16 million soums.
Among the regions, Namangan Region led in terms of growth, with the average salary increasing by 22.8% to 4.75 million soums. Syrdarya Region followed with a 20.8% increase (to 5.11 million soums) and Jizzakh Region with a 20.5% increase (to 4.76 million soums).
Tashkent remains the leader in absolute salaries, averaging 10.75 million soums. However, growth has slowed to below the national average (+18.3%).
Besides the capital, relatively high salaries were recorded in the Navoi and Tashkent regions—7.87 million and 5.96 million soums, respectively. The lowest salaries were in the Kashkadarya (4.47 million soums) and Surkhandarya (4.48 million soums) regions.
Average Salary by Sector and Industry
Banking and finance retained first place in terms of average salary—17.59 million soums (up 15.2%). Information technology and communications also made it to the top three with 15.29 million soums (up 15.8%) and transportation and logistics services with 9.65 million soums (up 18.9%).
In industry, the average salary was 7.5 million soums (up 16.7%), in trade—6.96 million soums (up 12%), and in construction—6.54 million soums (up 9.1%). Food service workers earn an average of 5.09 million soums (up 8.8%), while those in the arts and entertainment sector earn 5.44 million soums (up 26.4%).
The lowest salaries were again found in healthcare and social services (3.9 million soums) and education (4.37 million soums).
The average salary in the IT industry is highest in the following sectors:
- Computer programming, consulting, and other services — 19.67 million soums;
- Information services — 18.88 million soums;
- Communications — 12.17 million soums.
In banking, insurance, leasing, and credit intermediary services:
- Insurance — 22.29 million soums;
- Financial services and ancillary activities in the insurance sector — 19.12 million soums;
- financial services not related to insurance and pensions — 17.17 million soums.
The education sector shows a wide range of salaries: while the average salary at universities is 10.15 million soums, it's only 2.86 million soums at kindergartens. School teachers earn 4.27 million soums, and technical school instructors earn 4.42 million soums.
